The curtains will go up on a new Lok Sabha tomorrow even as leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) have resolved to raise the issue of the appointment of 'tainted' ministers in the inaugural session.

The Lok Sabha session, which will end on June 10, is likely to see the passage of just one motion "" the outline of the government's programme that will be encapsulated in the address by President APJ Abdul Kalam.

The President's address was cleared at a meeting of the Union Cabinet today, and contains salient points of the common minimum programme that will govern the functioning of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA).

The political issue that the NDA has seized upon to play its role as a constructive Opposition is the tenability of chargesheeted individuals to retain ministries.
