The Association said as per estimates 41 lakh bales of the fibre would come from the north zone, which includes 15.50 lakh bales each from Punjab and Haryana, 7 lakh bales from upper Rajasthan and 3 lakh bales from lower Rajasthan.
The crop estimate from central zone was pegged at 187 lakh bales, which includes 98 lakh bales from Gujarat, 71 lakh bales from Maharashtra and 18 lakh bales from Madhya Pradesh.
