Career fair from July 16

A four-day long Career Fair, which will focus on student guidance and councelling rather than selling institute credentials and academic programmes, will be held on July 16 at the Netaji Indoor Stadium here.

Career Plan 2004 "" organised by Synergy and Network in association with the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education "" will enable students to make appropriate career choices entirely suited to their abilities and aptitudes.

Simultaneously, it will also showcase educational and employment opportunities in several traditional as well as sunrise sectors, for individuals ranging from school drop-outs to post graduates.

Synergy and Network is a platform launched by a group of professionals to promote educational activities.

It organises professional and vocational trainings, conducts seminars, workshops and symposis, and is intimately involved in enhancing communication skills of students seeking employment in industry and academia.

Oragnisers said this year about 60 reputed institutes offering courses like engineering, medical and health services, business management and fashion technology to the armed forces, business management and insurance were scheduled to participate in the fair. At least 20,000 people are expected to visit the fair.
