CAs told to speed up analysis

Chartered accountants should speed up their analysis and response times to match with the speed with which business strategies are executed globally today, said Shantilal Daga, a central council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India(ICAI).

"We are living in an age of shrinking time horizons. Since all other sectors that are linked with the corporate sector have already overhauled their systems to match with what business in general wants, it is high time we did so too," he said at the inaugural session of ICAI's conference on 'The Global Challenge to Accounting'.
