CAT papers leaked, retest likely in Jan

 The ministry of human resources development has ordered cancellation of the examination, even as the six IIMs in Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Lucknow, Kozhikode and Indore conducted the test.

 Over 100,000 students who appeared for the test today will now have to take a re-test. IIM sources said the candidates would not be required to pay the Rs 1,000 entrance fee again. The re-test, the sources said, was likely to be held in January 2004.

 The admission committees of the six IIMs will meet on Tuesday or Wednesday to chalk out the details for the re-examination.

 Though a re-examination is must, the process is likely to take at least eight weeks. When contacted, IIM-Lucknow Director Devi Singh told Business Standard,
