CBDT Circular: Deadline for comments extended to June 15

The finance ministry has given a breather on the contentious draft CBDT guidelines.

Following a request from the Bombay Chamber of Commerce, the revenue department has extended the date for public comments to 15 June.

The department had orginally intended to notify the circular from 1 June. The CBDT had given time till 25 May to send in comments on the issue.
