CBEC eyes Rs 8,000-crore service tax this fiscal

 The Central Board of Excise & Customs (CBEC) of India expects to collect a service tax of about Rs 8000 crore during the current financial year.

 Addresing an interactive session on service tax organised by the Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India, S K Misra, the member(service tax), CBEC, New Delhi, said,
