Cbi Hopeful Of More Facts On Bofors Deal

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is hopeful of getting more information on the Bofors gun deal from the documents which would be transferred to India by the Swiss authorities on disposal of one more appeal pending in Geneva, agency director Joginder Singh said yesterday.

In the mean time, the CBI will send letters rogatory to several countries in connection with the case, Singh said.

The CBI chief expressed confidence that the investigating agency would get more information from the Bofors-related documents, in possession of the Swiss authorities and were to be transferred to India after disposal of the sixth and final appeal by the federal court in Geneva.
