CCEA approves 110 MW power project for North East

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) today approved implementation of Pare Hydro Electric Project in Arunachal Pradesh, at a cost of Rs 574 crore.

The central government funding to the project will be by way of equity (Rs 172.2 crore) and debt (Rs 401.79 crore).

The 110 MW project will be executed by North Eastern Electric Power Corporation. The project is scheduled to be commissioned in 44 months and the power from the project would be utilised within the North Eastern region itself.
