The Indian Drug Manufacturers' Association (IDMA) which represents interests of the domestic pharmaceuticals industry, has pledged to contribute over Rs 1 crore in aid of jawans battling on the border and their families.
The association will hand over a check for an initial amount of Rs 25 lakh today to union minister of chemicals and fertilisers Surjit Singh Barnala in favour of the Army Central Welfare Fund. Besides this, it will also donate Rs 1 crore worth of medicines to the fund, said G G Nair.
