Cell firms' plea to be heard in December

 A Bench, comprising Justice S Rajendra Babu and Justice GP Mathur, while hearing the interim application filed by cellular operators observed that it was not proper for the government to frustrate the petition through the new licence regime.

 However, Solicitor General Kirit Raval pointed out that the unified licence regime was a recommendation of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) and was in line with the National Telecom Policy, 1999.
