The upcoming festive season and ending monsoon will give a boost to cement, realty and infrastructure stocks, say analysts.

"In view of the end of the monsoon and the upcoming festive season, the sectors like cement, realty and also infrastructure will be investors favourites as they will get good returns from these stocks," CNI Research CMD Kishore P Ostwal said.

Analysts said that the April-June quarter did not see the good performance in these sectors due to the monsoon, adding that price realisations will start in the cement sector in the current quarter and infrastructure spending from the government will also start coming in.

In early trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange, realty major DLF surged 1.16 per cent to Rs 1,764.40 while Jaiprakash Associates witnessed a gain of 0.89 per cent to Rs 118.40.

Cement major ACC was also trading in the green and rose to Rs 842.60, up 0.58 per cent from the previous close. However, infrastructure major L&T was trading in the negative terrain and hit a month low of Rs 1,764.40, down 0.62 per cent. Reliance Infrastructure too edged 0.38 per cent lower at Rs 1,031.
