BS Reporter Bhubaneswar
An inter-ministerial team led by Anil Swaroop, additional secretary at the Cabinet secretariat will take stock of the status of 49 projects being implemented in Odisha along with top state officials on February 6. The projects to be vetted are spread across sectors – coal, steel, power, petroleum & natural gas, road transport & highways, shipping, mines, power and railways.

The projects proposed by Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) and Aditya Aluminium are set to go under the scanner. Coal mining projects of Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) and rail link projects like Paradeep-Haridaspur will also be reviewed.

This is the third such review by the Cabinet secretariat's project monitoring group (PMG). The PMG had earlier reviewed the progress of the key infrastructure projects in the state in September and November last year.

In the last review, the team checked the progress of 22 projects. The team had voiced its satisfaction on the pace of large projects in steel and manufacturing sectors.
