Centre asked to revise wages of NTC workers

 While their counterparts in the corporate offices have been receiving revised pay scales and dearness allowances all these years, the mill workers have been left out. The disparity between the two sections of workers is in the range of 642 per cent.

 NTC argued that the majority of its mills were sick and it could not afford to carry the additional burden. The court pointed out that the employees of the corporate offices were getting wage revisions.
