Centre Earmarks Rs 17 Crore For Nagpur Apparel Park

The Centre is keen to provide a Rs 17 crore package for setting up an apparel park at Nagpur.

The proposed park will be operated as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) and will be run independently by entrepreneurs.

This was disclosed by S B Mohapatra, secretary, ministry of textiles, while interacting with members of the Vidarbha unit of Textile Association of India here.

Mohapatra said the ministry had okayed two apparel parks for Maharashtra, to be set up at Nagpur and Aurangabad.
