Centre sanctions Rs 46 crore for BHPV

The Centre has released Rs 46 crore as a revival package for Bharat Heavy Plates and Vessels (BHPV), according to former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and MP N Janardhana Reddy.

Of the Rs 46 crore released by the ministry of finance, Rs 27 crore would be paid for provident fund arrears and the remaining would be used for paying salaries to the workers of BHPV, Janardhana Reddy told a press conference here.

"It was my election promise that is being fulfilled," Janardhana Reddy, who represents the Visakhapatnam constituency, said.
