Centre tells rival coal unions to patch up differences

Calling upon the rival unions of the coal industry to bury their differences at the earliest, the government has said if the disagreement between them prolongs, then the Centre may have to take steps to resolve the issue.

“We are ready to accept both demands — inking a pact for five or 10 years with the Joint Bipartite Committee for Coal Industry (JBCCI) to pave the way for new pay scales,” Minister of State for Coal Santosh Bagrodia told mediapersons here.
