Power sector regulator Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) would annnounce tomorrow the much-awaited tariff norms for renewable power projects in the country.
CERC issued tariff regulations for generation and transmission projects for 2009-14 period on January 20, 2009, and announced the formulation of separate tariff norms for renewable power projects at that time.
CERC Chairperson Pramod Deo had earlier said that the modalities were being worked out for a Renewable Energy Certificate concept which would act as an incentive for investment and would be in place by April 2010.
