The Jain Commission probing the conspiracy aspect into Rajiv Gandhi's assassination has summoned the controversial godman, Chandraswami and his aide Vikram Singh to appear before it today in view of certain fresh disclosures.

Chandraswami and Vikram Singh have been summoned on the basis of recovery of a document by the income tax department, which allegedly suggested some payment to a Sri Lankan national, the commission sources said.

The income tax department during its raid had recovered a receipt for Rs ten lakh from a Colombo-based businessman in the name of Vikram Singh.

Chandraswami, who had already been examined at length by the panel earlier, and Vikram Singh will be interrogated on the alleged transaction during the in-camera hearing today, the sources said.

Chandraswami's confidante, Vikram Singh was taken into custody early this month by the enforcement directorate on charges of alleged Fera violation.
