A politico-regulatory timeline

The capital market regulator's three-year proceedings against the Saradha group present an interesting picture when juxtaposed with the key political events in West Bengal. Were Mamata's often illogical political flip-flops attempts to save Saradha or was the Congress using the Saradha connection to keep her leashed? It is difficult to say if one led to the other, but the coincidence is bit too much to ignore. Sebi proceedings start first in the twilight months of Left rule, then go slow especially after the Trinamool win in the West Bengal Assembly polls, then picks up pace after the Mamata flip-flop ahead of Presidential polls and snowballs after the withdrawal of support in September 2012. Make your own call.
