Union Home Minister P Chidambaram will inaugurate the eastern region's first National Security Guard (NSG) hub at Badu in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district on September 21.
The hub near Madhyamgram, mooted shortly after the Mumbai terror attack on November 26, 2009, would be spread over 25 acres, an NSG communication which reached the state secretariat said on Sunday. An NSG commando training centre was likely to be set up near Rajarhat, for which 35 acres have been identified near the NSG Bose International Airport.
