Karnataka minister for law and parliamentary affairs H K Patil said on Thursday, the state is to introduce four bills including the Karnataka Children's Rights Bill and the Karnataka Compulsory Primary Education Bill-2005 in the next session of the legislature. |
Two other bills aimed at upholding "human dignity and human rights" will also be introduced. They are the Karnataka Food Guarantee Programme Bill and Karnataka Rural Employment Guarantee Bill,Patil said. |
He said a gazette notification in this regard has been made. |
Patil said that details of the draft bills will be made known to the general public and opinions sought. He claimed that Karnataka has been in the forefront in protecting human rights. |
