Some Chinese manufacturing companies in automobile, chemical, cycle and toy-making sectors have expressed interest in visiting West Bengal for investments, CPI(M) Politburo member Sitaram Yechury has said.

After a visit by a CPI(M) delegation headed by him to the Tianjin Economic Development Area (TEDA), Yechury said manufacturing units in TEDA have expressed their willingness to visit West Bengal.

In this context, the CPI-(M) delegation, of which Mohammad Amin from West Bengal is also a member, held discussions with some "promising" firms.

TEDA authorities informed them that they will facilitate a delegation consisting of representatives from TEDA to visit as soon as possible.
