As the political tension around Tata’s small car project in West Bengal continues to boil, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) today reiterated its appeal to the Left-led state government to resolve the problems immediately.
"This (obstacles to investment) is something the state needs to address if it wants to be a magnet for the industry," CII President K V Kamath said here after a meeting industry leaders had with Finance Minister P Chidambaram.
"I am sure that the industrial group concerned and the state government will find an amicable solution," Kamath said, adding that "in any location, if the industry finds it is not able to execute the project, it is a matter of concern."
