CII, Imperial College ink MoU for joint research

 Under the memorandum of understanding (MoU), India will explore possibilities of co-operation and collaboration in the field of drug and pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare, aerospace, automative, information and technology, energy, environment, water and nano-technology.
     
The MoU, signed during the visit of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, will also help identify collaborative projects, human research development needs and focus on missions and awareness conferences.
     
Imperial College is currently ranked fifth in the world.

 "The MoU acknowledges the great importance that the governments of India and UK attach to development of close collaboration between the two countries in the field of science and technology," R Seshasayee, president of CII, said.
