FinExe 2009, an initiative of Confederation of Indian Industry, Southern Region (CII-SR) launched in Chennai on Wednesday attracted credit enquiries worth 65 crore amongst MSME industries, according to CII’s release.
Over 70 MSMEs participated at the FinExe 2009 Session organised by CII-SR with an aim to facilitate and promote an exchange of information and address issues of financing MSMEs among various funding agencies, including nationalised banks.
Commenting on Finexe 2009, C R Swaminathan, chairman, CII — Southern Region said that with economy showing signs of recovery, MSMEs need to play an active role in identifying emerging business opportunities.
Through FinExe initiative, CII would showcase current approaches and strategies on the various issues that confront MSMEs growth and also offer better consultancy and mentoring services on key issues impacting the development of MSME sector.
