Chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today termed the reports in local media over the possibility of resignations of the entire ministers in the state Cabinet to facilitate revamping as baseless. |
Sports and culture minister M Satyanarayana Rao resigned yesterday over a newspaper report which said that the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has prima facie found the minister's involvement in the temple land scam. |
"I advised him to reconsider his decision," Reddy told reporters on Tuesday. He said that only a final report by the ACB can give a full picture of the alleged irregularities. |
Meanwhile, the state Cabinet has approved a loan of Rs 161 crore to be taken from LIC by the State Housing Corporation to fund weaker section housing programme. |
The chief minister, who refused to respond to the comments against his government at today's TRS rally in Warangal, left for New Delhi this evening for a meeting with TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao. |
