CM lauds JSL's efforts at Enterprise Orissa

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik appreciated the efforts made by JSL Ltd in areas like local employment, peripheral development and implementation of the Rehabilitation & Resettlement (R&R) policy.

Rajdeep Mohanty, resident director, JSL Ltd informed Patnaik that the company is going to roll out stainless steel by the first quarter of 2011.

Patnaik visited the JSL pavilion at the Enterprise Orissa event held at the IDCO Exhibition Ground in the city from November 18-23 along with the state industries minister Raghunath Mohanty, state industries secretary T Ramchandru and C J Venugopal, chairman and managing director of Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Orissa Ltd (Ipicol).

 

The Chief Minister was highly impressed to see the stainless steel benches and sprouts exhibited at the JSL pavilion.

He inquired about the setting up proposed stainless steel park by JSL at Kalinga Nagar for which the state government had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the company on February 3, 2010.

The JSL director stated that the layout and the number of units to come up at the proposed park have already been done by JSL and the company is waiting for the allotment of 300 acres of land at Kalinga Nagar. The Chief Minister assured that the problem will be sorted out at the ealiest.
