Chief minister Dharam Singh on Thursday promised exhibitors he would help end by the weekend the impasse over the seven-week moratorium imposed on non-Kannada films by the Kannada film industry. |
With Telugu film Shakardada MBBS being the latest bone of contention, Singh pleaded with the exhibitors not to exhibit the movie, in violation of the moratorium, at least till Monday. |
"The chance of all exhibitors from the north abiding by CM's request is very poor," said K V Dhananjay, an exhibitor from Bangalore. |
