Coconut Development Board inks deal with BPCL

Coconut Development Board has tied up with Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) to put up kiosks in petrol stations throughout the country to popularise the value-added products of coconut.

Under the tie-up, value-added coconut products, including tender coconut water, coconut vinegar, coconut chips and spray dried coconut milk powder, would be on display and sales at the kiosks to be put up at the BPCL petrol stations, development board officials said.

In the first phase, 10 petrol stations have been identified in Kerala for test marketing the products. The first kiosk was inaugurated by R S Pande, additional secretary in the ministry of agriculture.
