Budget 2011-12 is totally directionless and will not give relief to any section of society.
The proposals did not specify any bold initiatives to tackle the problems of inflation, unemployment and poverty nor did it have any proposals to address the issues of farmers. Instead, the Finance Minister’s proposals will further unleash inflationary trends. Worse, the budget will dampen growth and demoralise enterprise, cutting deep into the pockets of employees, the working and middle classes. This speaks volumes of the government’s inept handling of the fiscal system and its insensitivity to the concerns of the aam admi.
It was another onslaught on Punjab after the recent railway budget which had completely excluded the state.
