Concor To Set Up Nagpur Hub For Trans-Shipment

The Nagpur Container Terminal (NCT) of the Container Corporation of India (Concor) has proposed setting up of a trans-shipment hub in the city to speed up movement of domestic container cargo.

This was disclosed by chief general manager of Concor, central region, K Sathianathan at the fifth anniversary function of the NCT here.

The NCT has sent the proposal to Concor which has agreed to the project in principle. The hub, which is estimated to cost Rs 7 crore, has been proposed at the Ajni Marshalling Yard. It will facilitate loading and unloading of containers from one rake to another, thus avoiding time lags and speeding up movement, Sathianathan said.
