Confed signs tourism pacts

The Haryana Federation of Consumers Co-operative Wholesale Stores (Confed) has entered into agreements with the tourism development corporations of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Goa to act as their travel agents.
 
Under the agreement, tourists would be able to make their bookings to any of these states for accommodation, site-seeing, river cruises from the Confed office here, a Confed spokesperson said.
 
This would save the tourists' time and money, he said, adding the agreement with these state corporations had been reached as a part of its diversification drive.
