The University Grants Commission and the JSS Mahavidyapeetha will hold a joint two-day state-level seminar on 'Innovations in Business Education in the Present Era' here at the JSS College for Women from December 22.
 
The seminar, which is being inaugurated by regional director of Reserve Bank of India Devaki Muthukrishnan, will focus on 'business education'. It will have three technical sessions covering the areas on 'Emerging Scenario in Business', 'State and Business Education' and 'Re-engineering the course structure'. There will be a deliberation on 'Meeting the Market Expectations' and academics, students and professionals will take part in it.
 
According to college principal N S Shashikala, the seminar to be attended by about 400 delegates, including student representatives, will aim to identify factors that can narrow the gap between conventional business education and newer channels.
 
Besides exposing the participants to various areas in business education, the seminar will try to explore measures and strategies to face the increasing challenges of the competitive world.
