Hailing the union budget as "balanced, progressive, inclusive, growth-oriented and dynamic", Congress today said the exercise addressed all segments of society from common man to corporates.
Dismissing Opposition's criticism of the budget, party spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said that this budget cannot be criticised "unless the mindset is to just criticise for the sake of criticising".
He said that the budget has addressed all sections at micro, macro and medium levels "starting from the foremost Aam Admi" but not at the same time forgetting small and medium segments.
Singhvi said if the budget lays emphasis on agriculture, many incentives have also been given for the corporates.
"It's an essay in holistic and inclusive approach without any sensation and any knee-jerk reaction," Singhvi said
adding that the budget was on expected lines in sync with Congress philosophy.
The spokesperson said that this budget is of a government, which has an average growth of 8.5 percent per year the least 6.5 percent during recession and even that was better from the highest growth rate in NDA government.
