Congress General Secretary, Digvijay Singh has said that for him his party was like a mother and he can never betray it.
The Congress had helped him reach the post of the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minsiter and there was no way in which he would ever go against the party, Singh told PTI last evening at Biaora in the district.
He said that not only some BJP leaders but some from the Congress also at times make irresponsible remarks about his devotion to his party.
Singh, who is a former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, is facing a dilemma of sorts as his younger brother, Laxman Singh is the BJP nominee from the Rajgarh Parliamentary constituency.
The Congress General Secretary, who has been campaigning in Rajgarh, is ensuring votes for the Congress nominee Narayan Singh.
He described as BJP leader, L K Advani's compulsion that he would retire from politics if he did not become Prime Minister after the current Lok Sabha elections.
"If Advani cannot become Prime Minister at the age of 81, how can he hope to reach this post at the age of 86?" Singh said.
He said that the BJP was indulging in false propaganda that he joined hands secretly with his brother Laxman Singh.
The Congress General Secretary said that Laxman would always remain his younger brother, but there would be no political relationship with him.
