The Trinamool Congress and Congress today asked the West Bengal government to give all information on the land deal with the Tatas for their small car project at Singur.

"Now that the Right to Information Act has been introduced, the government must disclose details of the land deal with the Tatas," Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee told a party rally here.

Claiming that her party had been cooperating with the state government and maintaining peace, Banerjee said the Trinamool Congress would begin "total non-cooperation" from November 5 for farmers being "dispossessed" of their land at Singur. "I will be present at one such non-cooperation agitation at Singur," she said.

Chairman of the Assembly's standing committee on commerce and industry, Sudip Bandyopadhyay of the Congress said the government should reveal the terms and conditions of the land deal.

"This should be done before an Assembly committee visited the Tata Motor's plant at Pune for discussions," he said.

"It is also necessary to know what benefits the state government has been able to extract from Tata Motor for farmers parting with their land," he said.

He said he had a talk with Industry Minister Nirupam Sen, who had agreed to attend the meeting of the standing committee on November 3.
