AICC General Secretaries Digvijay Singh and Mukul Wasnik, Union Ministers P R Dasmunsi and Mani Shankar Aiyar, and senior leader Urmila Singh are the other members of the group, which also has Ghulam Nabi Azad as the only party chief minister on it. The group will be going into the reasons and the remedies for reversing at least 13 consecutive electoral losses suffered by the Congress in the last two years. It has been asked to submit its suggestions to the Congress President within 15 days.

Yesterday, former Karnataka chief minister M Veerappa Moily had submitted a report of the committee on Future Challenges in order to revive the organizational body of the party and ways to improve inner party democracy.

This is the second time that such a committee has been formed. A decade ago a similar panel had been set again headed by A K Antony, after another set of electoral reverses for the Congress.

Sonia Gandhi, who has completed a decade as party chief, had constituted a task-force headed by P A Sangma to suggest ways to revive the organisation some years back as well.
