Congress workers in Vadodara city filed a police complaint against the BJP and the organistaions associated with it today. They also blamed the Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi for the attack attempt on Lalu Prasad Yadav during his visit to the accident site yesterday.

The BJP, on the other hand took to blaming the Railways management under Lalu Prasad Yadav for the mishap and said safety measures were lacking. A three member team of BJP leaders, headed by Sushilkumar Modi, chief of the Bihar BJP unit, visited Gujarat to take stock of the events.

Modi said, "The accident could have been prevented if an anti-collision device was installed in the train. The process of installing safety devices was faster when Nitish Kumar was heading the ministry. We do appreciate the Gujarat government's disaster management efforts."

Sushilkumar visited the accident site along with Vijyendrapal Singh and Krupal Parmar, members of parliament from Bhilwara and Himachal Pradesh.

The team also visited villages around Samlaya and complimented villagers for their support in rescue operations.

Meanwhile, one of the linemen who was reportedly fled after the accident at Samlaya has reported to his senior officials to record his statement.
