The works for the first building at the Smart City Kochi is expected to begin next month. Developed at a cost of Rs 160-170-crore, it would be completed in 18 months, said Abdullatif Al Mulla, CEO of SmartCity Dubai and the chief business development officer at Dubai Holding and said the building secured the green permit.
As per the agreement, the entire project is expected to be completed in 10 years, but Al Mulla is confident of completing it in 6 years. The 0.65 million sft first building, which will be dedicated to IT and IT-related services, will be constructed as per the Platinum-rated LEED certification.
