The action committee which represents 140,000 power consumers in the Kolhapur city has threatened that massive agitation against Mahadiscom will be resorted to if officials fail to remove inclusion of security deposit amount in bills when normal rates have increased by ten per cent and power supply is not adequate and consumers are facing frequent load shedding.
The committee activists shouted slogans against the injustice done to power consumers by Mahadiscom and questioned the city engineer Girish Sakhadev as to how power rates have increased and secutiry deposits are enforced when consmers are already hard-hit by bills of higher amount and load shedding.
