Corrupack 2010, the 39th annual conference of Federation of Corrugated Box Manufacturers (FCMB), was inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in Hyderabad on Friday.
The three-day conference, organized by AP Corrugated Box Manufacturers’ Association in association with the I-Pack 2010 exhibition, is a platform for brand visibility and sales by seeking attention from industry leaders, and to meet, plan and discuss new ideas. The conference would focus on issues relating to the Rs 30,000-crore corrugated box manufacturing industry in the country.
“The government is extending incentives and packages on value added tax, power and providing lands at cheaper rates for establishing new manufacturing and industrial units. And a special package is given to provide employment to over 2000 people with an investment of Rs 250 crore,” Reddy added. The 3 million tonne of container board Indian market is growing at 10 per cent per annum.
Around 100 exhibitors from packaging machinery industries and suppliers from over 100 countries from Asia and Europe have participated.
