Country's crude oil production down 4.6% in June

Crude production in June was 2.64 million tonne, against 2.77 million tonne a year ago, after an explosion shut down the Panna/Mukta field for about a month, according to the latest data released by the Petroleum Ministry here.     

During April-June, ouput was almost unchanged at 8.37 million tonne.     

Seventeen public sector and two private refineries produced 5.6 per cent more petroleum products at 13.65 million tonne in June. Reliance output was up 6.6 per cent at 3.19 million tonne while Essar Oil saw 60.9 per cent jump to 999,000 tonne on its Vadinar refinery operating at full capacity.     

 

During April-June, refinery production was up 3.3 per cent to 40.05 million tonne with Reliance output rising 2.8 per cent (9.42 million tonne) and Essar by 80.6 per cent (3.02 million tonne).     

Refineries operated at 111.5 per cent of their installed capacity in June and at 107.8 per cent in April-June quarter.     

Natural gas production was up 1.9 per cent at 2,632 million cubic meters in June and by 6.9 per cent at 8,311 mcm in April-June.
