The Lalbhai group-run Knowledge Academy has launched a programme for Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification targeted at students intending to pursue further education in the US.
One of the highest accounting credentials in the US, CPA examination is offered by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant.
“A lot of students continue to pursue education from the US. Moreover, the recession there has not dropped the demand for good accountants. CPA, which is similar to the CA qualification in India, is highly regarded in the US.While the examination is conducted by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant at a cost of $2,200, we will provide the qualification training here,” said Saumil Shah, head-relations at Knowledge Academy.
The CPA examination comprises four parts namely financial accounting and reporting, audit and attestation, regulation, and business environment and concepts. The first batch at Knowledge Academy is set to begin from July 2009, said Shah.
