Raja said the party will analyse all aspects of its disappointing performance, particularly in West Bengal and Kerala.
"We will review the setback, particularly in West Bengal and Kerala," he said. The meeting of the CPI national executive is being attended by party General Secretary A B Bardhan and senior leaders like Raja, G Sudhakar Reddy and Annie Raja.
The CPI(M) Polit Bureau also met yesterday to take stock of the party's worst electoral performance since its inception in 1964.
The Forward Bloc Central Secretariat also met here to evaluate election results and said people did not take the Third Front "seriously" as there was "confusion" among the masses about the grouping's "stability, credibility and programmes".
