The CPI today demanded the removal of Labour Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao accusing him of not being serious about labour issues. |
"He does not even call meetings of parliamentary panels attached to his ministry," CPI MP Gurudas Dasgupta said in a press briefing today. |
"We want a new labour minister to be appointed by the PM. The present minister can be made a minister without portfolio. He does not even call meetings of the Standing Committee when India's labour force is facing the greatest crisis. He roams about in Andhra Pradesh," he said. |
The CPI MP also demanded the appointment of a 'full-fledged External Affairs Minister. |
