CSE looks ahead to a dull Diwali

 Lyons Range members said they would perform Laxmi Puja on the day of Muharat trading to seek blessings. The Goddess departed in 2001 when the payment crisis brought the exchange down to its knees.

 A senior CSE member said the brokers would use the central hall, where the outcry system was practiced in the past, to pay homage to the Goddess Laxmi. This was the traditional venue. However, the spirit that dominated the hall and pulled in brokers would be missing.
