The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today submitted to a Delhi court statements of various witnesses and several additional documentary evidence in a corruption case involving award of a Commonwealth Games-related contract to a Swiss firm at an inflated cost.

While taking on record various documents in the case involving sacked CWG Organising Committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi as "prime" accused, Special Judge Talwant Singh asked the investigative agency to supply copies of those documents to all ten accused.

The documents pertained to the case in which a contract to install Swiss Timing Scoring and Result system for the 2010 mega sports event was given to a Swiss firm, Swiss Timing Omega at exorbitant rates, within two days.

The prosecution said it had mentioned in the charge sheet filed on May 20 that further investigation was on in the case to unearth a "bigger conspiracy" and, if required, it would file a supplementary charge sheet in it.
