The BJP is trying to distance itself from party member Sudhanshu Mittal, who is facing a probe for his alleged involvement in the Commonwealth Games scam.

BJP president Nitin Gadkari said he did not know Mittal and investigators should act against anyone who is found guilty of corruption. Taking a cue from Gadkari’s stand, no one has come out in support of him.

Interestingly, Mittal was once part of the party’s national executive, the highest decision making body of the BJP, and was closely associated with the Assam and Rajasthan elections.
