Daily wagers now on the rolls

The services of some 15,000 Himachal Pradesh daily wagers working in various government departments would be regularised after the completion of eight years of continuous service.
 
This decision was taken by the state cabinet during a meeting, held late on Monday.
 
It also decided to lease out 191 bighas of land at Majra village in Nalagarh area of Solan district for setting up of a solid waste management disposal plant.
 
"Around 30 bighas of land has also been leased out at Sheetalpur village in Baddi to Doon Infrastructure Limited for setting up of a common effluent treatment plant to solve the solid waste disposal problem of Baddi," a spokesperson of the Himachal Pradesh government said.
 
The state cabinet also decided to increase the number of livestock in various farms, run by the Himachal Pradesh animal husbandry department, and approved the purchase of modern equipment for milkfed activities across the hill state.
